Transition of .yu internet domains

The end of .yu domain functioning is scheduled for 30 September 2009 at midnight, in accordance with a decision of ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). At the time all .yu web domains and mail addresses will become unavailable. The transition between .yu Internet domains to new .rs domains was finalized at the beginning of May 2009. Approximately 4,000 domains within the old YU register are still in use.
The domain .yu is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) assigned to Yugoslavia. It is currently used in Serbia and Montenegro. The new top level domain in Serbia will be .rs and Montenegro will have .me.
Serbian websites with addresses ending in .yu now probably end in .rs е-and mail addresses ending in .yu now probably end in .rs. But there are some exceptions, for example, some .co.yu domains will end in .rs and some in .co.rs. For Montenegrins it is even more complicated situation.
This is the list of transitions for some mail addresses between .yu domain and .rs and .me domains that are proven to work.

Kraj funkcionisanja .yu domena je predviđen za 30. septembar 2009. godine u ponoć, u skladu s odlukom ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). Posle tog dana, svi .yu veb domeni i mejl adrese će postati nedostupne. Prelaz između .yu Internet domena u nove .rs domene je finaliziran početkom maja 2009. godine, a danas je 4.000 .yu domena još uvek u upotrebi.
Domen .yu je top-level domen (ccTLD) dodeljen Jugoslaviji, a trenutno se koristi u Srbiji i u Crnoj Gori. Novi top-level domen za Srbiju će biti .rs a Crna Gora će imati .me.
Srpske veb stranice čije se adrese završavaju na .yu verovatno će preći u .rs. Ali postoje neki izuzeci, na primer, neki .co.yu domeni će se zameniti sa .co.rs a neki sa .rs. Sa nekim crnogorskim domenima će situacija biti još složenija.
Ovo je popis tranzicije nekih domena mejl adresa koje završavaju sa .yu u nove adrese na novim domenima. Navedene promene provereno funkcionišu.
